Outlet line M 5728

Outlet line M 5728 600 400 ETF Machinefabriek

In the beginning of 2017 ETF installed a new outlet line at one of her appreciated customers.

At the end of a production line which produces materials with a width up to 2 meter an accumulator, a versatile rolling machine and a wrapping winder were installed.

After the material is produced it can be temporarily stored in an accumulator.

This gives the operator the opportunity to e.g. eject a ready roll and start a new roll on the rolling machine without he need to stop the line.

The accumulator is equipped with a motor driven balancing system for the accumulator bridge which results in a perfect tension control.

The versatile rolling machine type M 5728, which was completely redesigned in 2015, creates straight and tight rolls.

Since the material is cut in the cross direction only after the ready roll is ejected, the material stays between the rollers continuously which means this type of rolling machine is very beneficial as well for very flexible and light weighted materials.

A width guiding system under the rolling machine controls the straight winding of the rolls.

In order to create tight rolls, e.g. to save transport volume, the rolling machine is equipped with a driven push roller.

This roller pushes on the roll during winding due to which extra tension is created.
Since the push roller is driven no material loops will be formed in front of the roller.

After the roll is ready wound it is ejected to a wrapping winder onto  which the roll is manually wrapped when already the next roll is being made on the versatile rolling machine.

The wrapping winder is equipped with load cells to measure the weight of the total roll.

ETF Cut-length machine at Godfrey Hirst Australia

ETF Cut-length machine at Godfrey Hirst Australia 600 400 ETF Machinefabriek

Last months our team of engineers were busy installing a new Cut-length machine M 5630 plus roll sorting system at our appreciated customer Godfrey Hirst Australia.

This new line is suitable for tufted- and woven carpet as well as vinyl floor covering. The working width of the machine is 4.000 mm (with edge trimmings 4.200 mm.)

The machine can handle about 500-600 cuts per 8 hour shift, depending on a.o. the number and length of cuts per supplied roll (average of 1,2 cuts/roll).  The Cut-length machine can work with only two operators.

When rolls have been cut and packed on the ETF Cut-length machine they will be transported to a roll sorting system. At the sorting system, the cut orders will be sorted into one of ten (10) sorting positions using an elevator and movable crane which will eject the cut order in the correct sorting bin.

This sorting system is connected to the ETF Cut-length machine and an other existing machine. Capacity of the sorting system will be 1 roll/minute and the ETF cut order machine will be the leading machine for the sorting system.

The sorting system has three operator’s interfaces by means of touchscreens, which will be used for the operators to choose the destination for each cut order in the sorting system.

ETF in top Scale-ups 2017

ETF in top Scale-ups 2017 600 400 ETF Machinefabriek

The Top 250 Scale-ups 2017 (Top 250 Groeibedrijven 2017) is based on ScaleUp Dashboard, which is an annual research into Dutch scale-ups conducted by Academic Director and Professor Corporate Entrepreneurship at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) Prof. dr. Justin Jansen:

The ScaleUp Dashboard is the first list that truly takes into account and measures all companies in the Netherlands with more than 10 FTE. There are more lists about scale-ups available, but those give limited insights because companies have to register themselves or the lists are focused on specific sectors. Insight in which companies truly belong to the Top of scale-ups is missing and that is what we hope to achieve by creating and launching this Top 250 Scale-ups (Top 250 Groeibedrijven) – of over 3000 scale-ups – in the Netherlands.”

2017 is the first year that the Top 250 Scale-ups (Top 250 Groeibedrijven) is published and it is launched together with nlgroeit in presence of Queen Máxima on January 23rd, 2017.

New assembly hall in use

New assembly hall in use 600 400 ETF Machinefabriek

Two months ago we were proud to show you our new assembly hall of 1100 m². By that time it was empty but now it is aplenty in use!

It is situated on our premises, adjacent to our main hall and it increases our production, assembly and testing capacity enormously.

ETF Cut length machine for artificial grass

ETF Cut length machine for artificial grass 600 400 ETF Machinefabriek

Ever had a customer complaint about shades or lines in the artificial grass cut length you supplied them? Not when using the ETF cut length machine for artificial grass.

When re-rolling artificial grass direct from a parent roll it is rolled with the pile pointing forward, causing a loose and telescoping roll and leaving shades and lines in the grass. This is due to the opposed forces applied by the pile to the rolling process.

In order to get a straight and tight roll of artificial grass and not have the risk of leaving lines and shades in the grass it should be rolled with the pile pointing backwards. This is exactly what the ETF cut length machine for artificial grass takes care of as it creates cu lengths in a two stage process. In the first stage the parent roll is re-rolled direct from the pin of the pintruck onto a centre winder. This means the pile is turned from pointing forward to pointing backward. Since the roll is rolled very loose onto the centre winder no damages will occur. In the second stage the real cut length is then being made by cutting a piece of artificial grass from the roll on the centre winder and the rolling and possibly wrapping it on a separate rolling unit. The result is a perfect roll for a satisfied customer as he will observe no damages of the artificial grass.

The ETF cut length machine for artificial grass is available in many executions and degrees of automation. Among others an unrolling cradle can be situated at the input side of the machine so the pin truck can just leave the roll. Furthermore the machine can be supplied with a semi-automatic or a fully automatic rolling unit.  Should you want to find out more about the ETF cut length machine for artificial grass contact one of our representatives or us directly at sales@etf.nl.
