We had the pleasure of welcoming professional photographer Alfons Lenders of  @Smile Fotografie Nederweert to our assembly hall to capture a distinctive project: ETF End of vinyl line. This project is unique not only because of its scale but also because it brings together a variety of technical innovations.

Projects like these deserve to be documented with care. By documenting our process and results, we continue building a strong collection of high-quality visual content that reflects the craftsmanship and precision behind our work.

ETF celebrates 75 years of technical excellence

In 2026, ETF celebrates its 75th anniversary. Founded in 1951, the company has grown from a local manufacturer of machines for the textile industries into a globally recognised partner for floor covering production technology. Today, more than 200 ETF machine lines are operating worldwide, supporting production processes at leading manufacturers across Europe, Asia and the Americas. The anniversary is highlighted throughout 2026 with a dedicated celebration logo featured both online and offline.

ETF started in 1951 with its first technological innovations in textile production. Over the decades, the company has established itself as a leading supplier of machines and services for measuring, cutting, rolling, packaging and logistics of carpets, vinyl, artificial grass and non-wovens.

With decades of engineering experience and a strong reputation for reliability and precision, ETF Machinefabriek has become a trusted technology partner for leading manufacturers in the global flooring industry.

Since early April 2025, a brand-new ETF Allround Cutting Machine type M 5523 has been successfully installed and is now fully operational at Feltex Automative in South Africa.

Feltex Automotive is a key supplier in the automotive industry, delivering high-quality acoustic, seating, and trim components made from textile and polyurethane materials. To support their growing production demands, they chose the versatility and reliability of the ETF Allround Cutting Machine.

The machine processes needlefelt from mother rolls up to 2,500 mm wide. From the guided unrolling cradle, rolls can be unwound both from the surface and from the center.
A bi-directional, high-speed cross-cutting unit ensures precise cutting lengths using the scissors-cut principle.
Blankets are then smoothly transported via a belted table to the stacking area.
This table integrates a state-of-the-art length measuring system with an automatically adjustable stop, easily controlled via the operator’s panel to match exact sheet length specifications.

The first milestone is standing tall!

An impressive accumulator marks the start of a brand new end-of-backing line for vinyl, currently being built at ETF for one of our long-standing customers in Germany.

Their previous ETF line served faithfully for 35 years and now it’s time for a fully automated, next-generation solution. Designed for efficiency and tailored with custom features from start to finish.
In the near future, this line will deliver perfectly finished, paper-wrapped vinyl rolls, ready for shipment to our customer customers.
